Snowballing Opera
In a sea of looking closely, distant twins float. At operatic scale, the pair cyclically performs the script of being identical… just not at the same time.  
Commissioned for the Pratt Shows: Design 2019 exhibition as a collaboration between faculty and graduating students, these designers experimented with temporal interactions between unadorned forms, light, and air to imply remote communication. Iterations ranged from basic geometries to irregular forms. Arriving at a ten-armed figure within a cylindrical enclosure, the appendages transgress its bottom boundary then dissolve it when engorged.
